Do you have an old tube guitar or bass amp that doesn’t sound good or work right? Maybe it doesn’t work at all, or it hums, buzzes, crackles and pops. It might just need a simple modification to make it shine. I’ve heard thousands of amps so I have a pretty good idea of what yours should sound like. Give me a call, email or text and let's talk about what your amp requires to make it sound its best.

I also repair/modify electric guitar and bass wiring harnesses, change pickups/switches/strings/pots, install bridges, cavity shielding and repair or perform certain special mods on guitar pedals (true bypass, etc.) and vintage effects units. I’m also accepting 1960’s & 70’s high-fi vacuum tube and solid state tuners & amplifiers that need a little TLC to make your house rock!

My hourly rate ($75) is substantially lower than most other technicians because overhead is kept low by working in my shop at home. Turnaround times are based on how many jobs are in the cue, parts availability and shipping timetables. A limited supply of replacement parts are kept in stock due to lack of space and any others are ordered on an amp by amp basis. All my work is performed in house and by appointment only. I love what I do. Let me make your amp sound good for you!

Disclaimer:
There are some newer amplifiers that have badly printed circuitboards that are more trouble than they are worth.  It’s unfortunate, but they are designed to be replaced, not repaired.  I may elect not to work on these.  There are other repair shops with dealer/distributor deals that can replace these circuitboards and access proprietary schematics that I am denied access to as a private sole proprietor.
